High school ended in May. No thank you to jumping into college to be followed directly by a dead end desk job. I make a few dollars by hanging out with kids. It's enough money to keep gas in my car and lend a hand in adventures. I prefer to spend my time in the backyard of my childhood home, which will be someone else's in a matter of months. I like piling up with friends on mattresses in my empty For Sale house to watch awkward movies via a projector. I get antsy when I haven't traveled in a while. Old and new family road trips have graced me with seeing 49 states. I don't handle cold well but it's on my list to camp in Alaska under the Northern Lights. My list also consist of farming cranberries, having a pancake themed tent at Burning Man, backpacking through Europe, etc. My favorite people to be with are the sincere kind, the ones that are content with just being in each other's presence and don't require anything more to enjoy themselves. Just because I don't do it doesn't mean I think any differently or any less of you. I'm not as naive as I think I'm perceived to be. I wish more people would give me a chance.
I've got a good feeling about this whole life, empty canvas thing.
